About the role
This role is the core of what Direct Teleport does: arriving at the address at the agreed time, loading and unloading, and handing over the contents or the shipment in the condition they were collected in.
The work combines apartment and office moves, transport for businesses, distribution and delivery, and pallet and general cargo — so one working day rarely looks like the last.
What the role involves
- Driving the agreed route and keeping to the schedule arranged with the customer
- Loading, strapping and securing the load before setting off
- Unloading and handing over at the destination address together with the customer
- Handling furniture, boxes, pallets and equipment properly
- Keeping the vehicle and the equipment sound and clean
- Keeping dispatch informed of progress, delays and problems
- Dealing with the customer professionally and courteously on site
