Accessibility Statement

We care that this website and the service behind it are usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities and users of assistive technology.

Our commitment

Direct Teleport works to make both this website and the service it provides accessible, on the principle that a person with a disability is entitled to the same service, at the same quality and with the same independence, as any other customer.

Accessibility on this site is implemented in the code and the content themselves — in page structure, navigation, forms and colour — and not through a third-party accessibility widget or toolbar. That is a deliberate decision: an overlay does not make an inaccessible site accessible, and it can interfere with the assistive technology a visitor is already using.

In addition to that, and not in place of it, the site carries display options of its own — a permanent accessibility button on every page that can enlarge the text, raise the contrast, make the focus outline more prominent, underline links, widen the text spacing, reduce motion and switch to your system font. We built it ourselves, it runs entirely in your browser and it sends your choices nowhere. It does not replace a screen reader, a magnifier or any other assistive technology, and it does not by itself create conformance with any standard.

What has been implemented

The following were applied, tested and measured when building this website:

  • Semantic HTML, landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer) and a correct heading hierarchy
  • A “skip to main content” link at the start of every page
  • Full keyboard-only operation, including the mobile menu, the language switcher and every form
  • A clearly visible, high-contrast focus indicator on every interactive element
  • Labels associated with every form field, required fields marked, and error messages tied to the field that failed and announced to a screen reader
  • Colour contrast measured against the actually-painted background, including text over photographs
  • Alternative text for content images, and decorative images hidden from assistive technology
  • Document language and correct text direction on every page (RTL for Hebrew and Arabic, LTR for Russian and English)
  • Respect for the system reduced-motion preference (prefers-reduced-motion)
  • Enlarged, well-spaced touch targets in the mobile interface
  • Data entered into a form is preserved after a correctable validation error
  • A built-in display options panel on every page: text size, high contrast, a prominent focus outline, underlined links, increased text spacing, reduced motion and a system font — added to the accessibility built into the code, not substituted for it

Known limitations

No audit by a certified Israeli service-accessibility surveyor has been carried out to date, and we do not claim certified conformance with any standard. The testing performed is automated testing and keyboard testing, which together cover only part of the standard’s requirements.

The site has not yet been manually tested against screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver). When that testing is carried out, its details will be recorded in this statement.

The site links out to external services — WhatsApp for messaging, and the phone application for calls. The accessibility of those services is not under our control. If any external component is not accessible to you, contact us by phone or email and we will complete the step with you.

IS 5568 (the Israeli standard for web content accessibility), which adopts the WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA

No manual screen-reader testing has been performed yet. We will not claim compatibility that has not been tested.

Accessibility coordinator
No accessibility coordinator has been appointed. The duty to appoint one applies to a body employing 25 or more people, and whether it applies to this company has not yet been determined. Either way, you can contact us about accessibility using the details below.
Accessibility arrangements at customer-facing premises
The company provides moving, distribution and logistics services carried out at the customer’s address. Whether a permanent customer-facing location exists, and what accessibility arrangements it has, has not yet been confirmed for publication. We will not publish physical accessibility arrangements that have not been verified.
Exemptions
No exemption from regulation 35 is required or has been sought.
