Storage, picking and goods handling

When stock needs space and a pair of hands — organised storage, goods-in, picking and dispatch as required.

High storage racking holding wrapped pallets of goods in a warehouse

Not every business needs its own warehouse. Sometimes what is required is space for a defined period, and sometimes it is also someone to receive the goods, organise them, pick orders and send them out.

We build the arrangement around volume, duration and how fast the stock moves. If the volume grows or shrinks, the arrangement is adjusted accordingly.

Who this service is for

  • Seasonal businesses needing space for a defined period
  • Importers needing somewhere to hold goods between arrival and distribution
  • Online shops needing order picking and dispatch
  • Businesses between warehouses who need an interim solution
  • Anyone who would rather pay for a service than run a warehouse

Situations we handle regularly

  • Pallet storage for a period of several months
  • Receiving an inbound shipment and organising it by item type
  • Picking orders and preparing them for collection or distribution
  • Interim storage between vacating one warehouse and entering another
  • Goods requiring sorting or repacking

What the service can include

  • Storage by pallet quantity and period
  • Goods-in receipt with quantity checks against documentation
  • Organisation and storage by item type
  • Order picking against a list
  • Dispatch preparation, including basic packing
  • Coordination of outbound movements and onward transport

How the arrangement is built

  1. Understanding the need

Approximate volume, period, and the expected rate of inbound and outbound movements.

  2. Defining the service

We agree which operations are needed beyond storage — goods-in, picking or dispatch.

  3. Goods-in

Stock is received, checked against documentation and stored in an organised way.

  4. Ongoing routine

Inbound and outbound movements run against your requests, coordinated in advance.

Frequently asked questions

Can we store for a short period?
Yes. Some customers need a few weeks between warehouses and others need months. We match the arrangement to the period you actually need.
Do you handle order dispatch?
Yes, when defined in advance. Picking and dispatch preparation are part of the service, not just passive storage.
What if the quantity changes during the period?
That is common in seasonal businesses. We agree in advance how the arrangement behaves when volume grows or shrinks.
How do goods leave the warehouse?
By prior arrangement. You can collect, or book onward transport through us.
